Maintenance of general electric bicycles mainly includes battery maintenance, tire maintenance, brake system maintenance, chain maintenance, bearing lubrication, line inspection and storage environment selection.
Battery maintenance
Avoid storage with low power: When the electric vehicle is not used for a long time, the battery connection line should be disconnected after full charge to reduce the speed of battery power loss. For example, a 60V20Ah ordinary lead-acid battery that has been used for half a year can still maintain nearly half of its power after being fully charged and left for half a month. Regular charging: Charge at least once a month to keep the battery active. If the expected parking time exceeds half a year, it is best to charge it again every 2-3 months. Control charging time: The average charging time is controlled at about 8 hours to avoid overcharging and undercharging. When charging, a high-quality charger that matches the battery should be used to ensure charging safety. Avoid high temperature environment: Do not charge or expose the battery in a high temperature environment to avoid battery expansion or performance damage. Tire maintenance
Check the air pressure regularly: Check the tire pressure at least once a month to ensure that the tire is fully inflated to prevent deformation and wear. When the temperature is low in winter, the air pressure will drop and needs to be replenished in time.
Check the wear and tear: Pay attention to whether there are cracks or foreign objects embedded on the tire surface, and replace the aging tires in time to avoid the risk of tire blowout.
Brake system maintenance
Check the brake pads regularly: Check the brake pads every six months to one year to ensure good braking effect. Especially the rear brake power-off brake handle to prevent failure and damage to the controller.
Adjust the brake system: Adjust or replace the brake pads when necessary to ensure the safety and reliability of the brake system.
Maintenance of other parts
Chain maintenance: Oil the chain regularly to prevent rust and wear. When not riding for a long time, you can store the chain in lubricating oil.
Bearing lubrication: Regularly add lubricating oil to the bearings to keep them running smoothly and prevent dry grinding.
Line inspection: Regularly check whether the wires and connectors are loose or aging, especially after the rainy season, to prevent corrosion and safety hazards.
Body maintenance: Clean the body regularly, maintain the parts that need lubrication, and check the fastening nuts and screws to ensure the stability of the vehicle structure.
